The basket held roughly 1 100 litres of grease and was tested down to –40 °C to ensure the right viscosity before deployment. The Center Pole Basket can be converted from guidepost transport to standard ROV tooling and intervention, offering flexibility and increased efficiency.
The flexible design means the pump and reservoir size can be swapped out for future jobs without building a new basket. The operation ran from summer to autumn 2023 and was completed without issues.
