The Emergency Cutting System is built to cut wires and ropes in case of emergencies topside. It is built up with an 32L Accumulator, HPU and handpump as three cutting options. Everything is controlled with a 3-function PVG32.
The number and types of cutters can be changed as needed. The example in the picture above is set up with one SL80 cutter for fiber ropes, and two RCV75HD cutter for wire ropes.
Accumulator is charged up with 250 bar and is always ready to cut. Pull one lever on Ball Valve to cut. If accumulator fail, HPU and hand pump are supplied and connected as contingency.
